Follow this simple 10-15 minute drive from Diani Link Road to reach our peaceful riverside retreat.
Driving Directions:
1. Head northwest on Diani Link Road till you reach the T-junction.
2. Turn right onto the Ukunda-Ramisi Road (A14) and continue straight. You will pass Joseali Tours Limited on your left.
3. After approximately 5 km, crossing the bridge over the Mwachema River, start looking for the Village Retreat sign on your right-hand side.
4. Turn right, follow our signs along the access road for about 1.3 km, and you will arrive at our main gate.
Travel Tips:
The total drive is roughly 7.7 km and should take 10-15 minutes in normal traffic.
We recommend using a navigation app and searching for "Village Retreat, Mwachema River".
Boda boda (motorbike taxi) and tuk-tuk are also convenient local options from the main road.
Village Retreat Adventure Guidelines
At Village Retreat, your safety and comfort are our priority. To participate in our activities, guests must be 8 years of age or older. For certain activities such as ziplining, there is a maximum weight limit of 100kg. All participants must present a valid form of identification—such as a National ID, Passport, Driving License, or Residence Visa—for registration and eligibility verification. Certain medical conditions, including epilepsy, heart or respiratory issues, pregnancy, recent injuries, and intoxication, may restrict participation for safety reasons. Please wear appropriate clothing for outdoor activity and avoid long dresses, leather shoes, or large sunglasses.
TrailBlaze Gliders Onewheel Safety Rules
TrailBlaze Gliders offers a unique, eco-friendly Onewheel experience designed for safety and enjoyment. All riders must be 10 years of age or older and weigh between 50kg and 110kg. Proper safety gear—including a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards—is mandatory and will be provided. Riders must wear closed-toe shoes and secure, comfortable clothing; loose items, sandals, or long dresses are not permitted. Before riding, every participant must complete a mandatory safety briefing covering board operation, beach etiquette, and emergency procedures. Guests with certain health conditions—including balance disorders, recent injuries, pregnancy, or intoxication—are advised not to participate.
